Job Description: As a Warehouse operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing products, materials, and supplies. Your attention to detail, physical stamina, and ability to work well under pressure will be essential in performing the following tasks:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents, and compare them with packing lists or invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect and examine items for defects, damages, or discrepancies.
- Unload and sort incoming products, materials, or supplies to their designated storage areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory records, tracking system, and stock levels.
- Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring they are appropriately labeled and documented.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to move, stack, and retrieve items.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to fulfill orders and meet shipping deadlines.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with periodic stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety and security protocols.
- Identify and report any inventory shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Ensure correct items are dispatched safety and correct service appointed.
- Help with all warehouse duties which may require product alterations.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding warehouse operations.
Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Proven work experience within a warehouse .
- Proficient in using warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors or discrepancies.
- Physical stamina to handle manual tasks, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Be able to use own initiative while also being able to work within a team.
