Excited about working in the toy industry? Grant and Bowman are a family-owned distribution and licensee business supplying branded children's toys to retailers globally. We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team in Brentford, TW8.

As an Accounts Assistant you will be play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our company. You will be working alongside the purchase ledger and credit control departments as well as the Head of Finance to ensure accurate and timely record keeping, data entry and administrative tasks related to financial transactions. This is a significant role within the finance department and the wider company as it the successful candidate will be part of a team providing timely and accurate financial data which will be used for important business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain and update financial records.

· Accurately input financial data into our ERP software, ensuring completeness of all information.

· Assist in processing invoices from vendors and processing timely payments.

· Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and up to date records.

· Monitor and manage employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely reimbursement.

· Assist in the preparation of financial reports.

· Assist the finance team with the external audit, gathering information and providing documentation.

· Reconcile payments received for our ToyDip division, posting charges from the ecommerce platforms used.

· Assist in ad hoc tasks as required by the Head of Finance.

Required Skills/Competencies/Qualifications

Essential:

· An understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and bookkeeping practices.

· Proficient in excel, able to use formulas, such as Vlookup, Sumif and able to create pivot tables.

· Strong accuracy and attention to detail are essential to ensure error free financial records.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.

· Ability to work as a team within the finance department and with wider colleagues.

Desirable:

· Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV)

· AAT or equivalent qualification

What’s on offer:

· Salary Band: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience

· Hybrid Working: Two days in the Head Office in Brentford, three days working remotely, subject to changes based on business need

· Working Hours: 36.25 hours per week - 08:30-16:30 Monday to Friday, including a 45 minute unpaid lunch break. Additional hours may be required from time to time (workload dependant)

· Holiday Allowance: 25 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays

Salary: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
