Job Description
We are seeking a full-time (or part-time for the right person) bid writer to join our team to write tender, grant, proposal responses, award submissions and a range of business documents. We operate in a deadline-driven environment where our focus is always on delivering compelling written content that gives our clients the best chance of winning
Responsibilities
Our consultants need to:
- Have minimum three years experience in bid submissions
- Business experience
- The ability to quickly understand the requirements of the tender
- Establish good working relationships with our clients to understand their business processes and methodologies
- Solve problems and present clear arguments in a logical manner
- Help our clients understand their key discriminators and build a winning case
- Work under pressure to meet rigid submission deadlines
- Have excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
- Have a high attention to detail, producing error-free work within tight deadlines
The best bid consultants are intelligent people, with enquiring minds and good writing and communication skills.
You will:
- Write sections on large tenders as part of a wider team
- Write and manage all aspects of submissions for smaller clients
- Structure, format, and produce professional submission documents
- Develop plans and guide clients to ensure submission deadlines are met
- Have a sense of humour
- Previous bid writing experience
- Excellent research and interpretation skills
- Skills in questioning, writing, editing and checking/reviewing
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent time-management and organisation skills
- Excellent communicator
- Excellent IT skills - including proficiency in all MS Office applications
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week
Salary: £32,320.00-£35,304.00 per year
