As a Warehouse Assistant, you’ll be committed to delivering an outstanding level of service, and you’ll be professional, driven and enthusiastic. You must be reliable and able to work efficiently in an individual and wider team setting to get the job done. Thinking on your feet and problem solving on the go is advantageous in this fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities and role requirements will include:
- Lifting heavy goods safely and correctly, including washing machines, fridge freezers, wardrobes, sofas, unpacking palletised goods etc
- Picking orders, checking onto vans and securing loads
- Receiving and checking goods in and putting in correct locations
- Attention to detail is crucial for this role, you need to be able to spot minor differences between products and labelling
- Positive attitude towards being busy.
- Participation in relevant training.
- To be able to work in a close knit team and follow instructions of the Supervisor as well as demonstrating the ability to know what routine tasks need doing and carry them out whilst waiting for further instruction.
